CAMP BANCASI, Butuan City, Philippines –- Soldiers belonging to the Peace and Development Team of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) arrested on Tuesday night one of the suspects in the burning of a bus last May 22 in Southern Mindanao, the military reported on Friday.

1Lt. Raul T. Villegas, the 39th Infantry Battalion’s Civil Military Operations Officer, said the suspect, whose identity was temporarily withheld pending arrest of his companions and the filing of criminal charges in court, was arrested during a Peace and Development Outreach Program (PDOP) at Barangay Astorga, Sta. Cruz town, Davao del Sur. (PNA)
