FAB hotel to rise soon
FREEPORT OF AREA OF BATAAN, Philippines — A multinational firm based in Hong Kong will put up a hotel and restaurant in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) to cater the needs of the growing number of investors and personnel in the area.
This was revealed Tuesday by Pompil N. Corsame, President of the Export Processing Zone Chamber of Exporters and Manufacturers (EPZCEM) who said that Luen Thai International Group headed by Raymond Tan has expressed keen interest in putting up the said facilities here.
“The Luen Thai, through its president Frank Sauceda, will definitely construct hotels and restaurants inside FAB after noting the lack of such facilities in Freeport , and we welcome it since we really need such class but affordable hotels and restaurants to be put up immediately inside FAB,” said Corsame.
Corsame, who had just been elected president of the prestigious business organization, has been very supportive not only to the locators but also to the FAB management headed by its chairman and administrator, Deo Custodio.
Corsame is the incumbent Managing Director of the Dunlop Philippines based inside FAB.
Luen Thai is not new in the Philippines since it has already existing garments manufacturing firms in Clark Special Economic Zone, Tarlac and in Cebu.
Only recently, Tan and Custorio signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Bataan Governor Enrique “Tet” Garcia; Bataan 2nd District Rep. Albert S. Garcia; Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General Joel Villanueva; and Frank Sauceda for the putting up a Luen Thai garments manufacturing plant inside FAB which is expected to generate 6,000 new jobs.
