LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines — A select group of senior citizens was recently given recognition by Governor Amado T. Espino for being shining examples for good morals and achievement in their respective communities in this province.

The recent awarding of Dr. Cristeta Rosario of Mangatarem, along with Carlos Nuevo of Agno; Edith Casaclang of Binmaley; Gerardo Nierva of Pozorrubio; and Aurora Dancel of Alcala was the culminating event of Senior Citizens’ Month in this province.

They were awarded recently at the Pangasinan Development Training Center, here.

Earlier, the provincial government through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office conducted the search for the most outstanding senior citizens and the best senior citizens.

Espino also cited as the top five best senior citizens centers the towns of Villasis, Mangatarem, Asingan, Binmaley, and Calasiao.
