Female cops
COTABATO CITY, Philippines – At least 45 female police officers from city and provincial offices of the Police Regional Office (PRO) of Central Mindanao in Region 12 started undergoing a 10-day training on specialized course for Women and Children Protection Desks (WCPD) operations.
The capability-building program kicked off Monday at the multi-purpose building of the PRO-12 headquarters in General Santos City with Chief Supt. Benjardi Mantele, regional police director, administering the opening ceremonies.
Mantele said the training is in compliance with the 10-point Action Plan of Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Nicanor A. Bartolome, a staunch advocate for police skills and competence- building with emphasis on investigation, resource management, and disaster responsiveness.
“We pursue the Chief PNP’s action plan through this training program to enhance the investigative standard among our field WCPD personnel handling investigation of crimes involving women and children,” Mantele said.
