KALAHI-CIDSS projects benefit Samar villages

CATARMAN, Northern Samar — Four villages in one town in this province are recipients of the Kapitbisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) projects, according to Northern Samar governor Paul Daza.

Daza told reporters in an interview at his office here that a total cost of P3,415,938 KALAHI-CIDSS projects were inaugurated recently in barangays of Bongliw, Abaton, La Perla and Vigo all in the municipality of Lao-ang. He added that the four barangays’ local counterpart of P453,644 have already been submitted by them.

He said the projects are concrete path walks and drainage canals.

The governor also reported that Brgy. Bongliw, the project involved a concrete path walk with a total cost of P381,500.00, with a community counterpart of P71,420; the same project, with a total cost of P753,200 was implemented with local P113,056 counterpart. (Restituto A. Cayubit)
