Iloilo mayor rated 76 percent
ILOILO CITY, Iloilo, Philippines — Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog gained a 76 percent satisfactory rating in a recent survey.
Such rating translates to “very good” in the University of the Philippines (UP)-Visayas’ Random Access Consultants, Inc. (RACI) Mabilog survey conducted between December 17-19, 2011 covering 600 respondents in 60 villages.
Responding to said survey results, Mabilog said, “this only shows that our city government’s programs are on the right track.”
The local chief executive, in the same survey, also scored a net satisfaction rating of 59.8 percent and 16.8 percent dissatisfaction rating, while 6.5 percent of respondents were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied.
“We have been planting the seeds of development in 2011 and they are waiting for the results to be convinced,” Mabilog said referring to those in the survey who indicated they were not satisfied with the Iloilo City mayor’s performance so far.
However, the survey also served as a benchmark for improvement in the city’s various developmental programs.
Mabilog disclosed that Ilonggos are still dissatisfied with the poor drainage system, the traffic situation, and the lack of relocation sites for displaced families affected by the various government infrastructure programs.
“We will be working on these areas for improvement,” Mabilog underlined.
