Ivler fit to leave hospital
MANILA, Philippines — The attending physician of road rage murder suspect Jason Ivler said his patient is fit to be discharged from the Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) three weeks after a surgery to reverse his colostomy.
Dr. Romeo Abary submitted a progress medical report stating that Ivler could leave the hospital.
Abary said Ivler can be discharged “provided no strenuous activities are to be done."
Ivler underwent the operation on December 19 to reverse his colostomy so he can defecate through his anus and not through a bag.
He is accused of killing Renato Victor Ebarle Jr., and was wounded when he shot it out with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arresting team in 2010.
In the report, Abary said that on his 21st day after his operation Ivler was on a regular diet and has normal bowel movement.
Abary prescribed three days worth more of cloxacillin, an antibiotic, aside from the regular cleaning of Ivler's wound.
