MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan, Philippines — Nineteen university students from Korea arrived in this city the other day to promote cultural exchange and learn better English as well as enhance mutual understanding among the youth of Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN)-member countries and Korea.

The Korean youth exchange, all daughters and sons of the Korean Rotary officials, paid courtesy call on Mayor Christian D. Natividad, the newly elected president of the Rotary Club of Metro Malolos.

The Korean youth officials and students also met with the Rotary Club of Malolos, headed by its president Jeric De Gala.

Among the talking points during the meetings were issues on education development, defense, disaster risk management, practical exchanges in the field of economy, science, technology, culture, arts and sports.

They also discussed the growing importance of the city in the province for public affairs, labor, tourism, trade, investment, and combating crime to achieve peace and order.

"We wish them success in all their efforts fully supported by various groups to rehabilitate the rivers in the city," the Korean youth team leader Kim Ye Seouln said.
