MANILA, Philippines — She was the last woman standing – and now she’s back home.

Overseas Filipino worker Bailyn L. Pasandalan missed spending Christmas with her family after she decided to stay behind while three other house helpers chose to return home when things turned for worse in Libya.

Months after her colleagues arrived in the Philippines safely, Pasandalan finally arrived home via Qatar flight QR 646 Saturday afternoon.

She was working for three years as a house help to a relative of Libyan strongman Moammar Khadafy when fighting between rebel forces and government troops took turn for the worse.

“My job was to take good care of the mother of my employer. I had nothing to say against Khadafy's family. They were good to me,” Pasandalan said as she identified her employer as Zarouk Ahmad Estelawe.

She was receiving a monthly salary of $300 since 2009 as a domestic helper.
