TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte, Philippines — The first tourism and travel magazine in Eastern Visayas is now circulated nationwide, the editor of the magazine told his fellow newsmen in a press conference.

Aaron Almadro, who is editor-in-chief of 8 magazine said copies of the publication are now in selected outlets nationwide.

Almadro, who used to be involved in various publications in Manila, including several titles by the ABS-CBN Publishing Corporation, said 8, which is the first and only glossy magazine in Eastern Visayas, is a “compendium of unique finds, special local delicacies, inspiring stories of and by home-grown personalities including local artists, local events, fashion, and other interesting tidbits happening in the region.

He also said that the magazine intends to “expose, rediscover and share the unique Eastern Visayas experience” with readers from all over the country.
