Bulacan Cleans Up Its Act
MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan, Philippines — Public officials in this province gathered early Thursday morning here as Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy Alvarado led a series of activities to “clean up their act” under the principle of good governance at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.
Alvarado said he invited credible and experienced personalities to speak on topics regarding the proper behavior and ethics of government officials.
The speakers were also chosen to encourage public officials to be united in pursuing a common goal of serving the public effectively, with a focus on cooperative efforts for a clean environment.
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jesse Robredo talked about the “Seal of Good Governance and Seal of Good Housekeeping;” Rev. Fr. Melo Diola discussed the “Good Governance and Ethics in Politics;” and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Ramon Paje tackled the topic, “Good Governance on Environment.”
