Over 1,000 families affected by monsoon
The southwest monsoon which was enhanced by typhoon “Jose” (international name: Halong) affected more than 1,000 families or nearly 4,000 people.
According to the latest bulletin released by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), a total of 1,129 families or 3,995 people were affected in Pangasinan.
Two teenagers — 14-year old Ronald Perez and 15-year old Rodnel Javillonar — were reported missing in Barangay Diaz, Bautista, Pangasinan.
NDRRMC said that eleven barangays in four municipalities in Pangasinan and Zambales are still flooded while seven roads in Pangasinan, Mt. Province, Kalinga, and Benguet were closed due to flooding and landslide/rockslide.
Cost of damage to crops is now pegged at P1.624 million.
