Over 3,000 cops to be deployed for INC centennial

More than 3,000 policemen will be deployed to secure the centennial celebration of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) at the Ciudad de Victoria in Bocaue, Bulacan on Sunday.
Chief Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac, chief police information officer, said they have not received any serious threats.
“The safety of the delegates and participants on the centennial celebration of INC, including the foreign delegates, is primary concern of the PNP,” said Sindac.
Chief Supt. Raul Petrasanda, director of the Central Luzon regional police, said 3,200 policemen, 200 soldiers, 1,500 Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) personnel and more than 2,000 barangay security forces will be deployed during the event.
Sindac said “all units and offices of the PNP will be placed at heightened alert status effective at 3 p.m. on Friday (July 25)” for the INC Centennial Celebration on Sunday, State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday (July 28) and Eid-al-Ftr on Tuesday (July 29).
