TOBOSO, Negros Occidental, Philippines (PNA) – Five barangays in Toboso, Negros Occidental have been named recipients of the government’s poverty reduction project, the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan- Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI:CIDSS).
Said project has allotted P4.05 million in a form of grant with Toboso giving P607,500 as counterpart fund.
The sub-projects include procurement of post harvest facility, construction of hanging bridge, artificial coral reef, two-classroom building and a day care center. The five recipient barangays are San Isidro, Bandila, Poblacion, Magticol and Bug-ang.
Illegal recruiter nabbed
CEBU CITY, Cebu (PNA) – Police arrested an alleged illegal recruiter at the Mactan Cebu International Airport last Sunday.
The alleged recruiter, a 30-year-old woman who is a native of Cabarruguis, Quirino Province, was caught by Criminal Investigation and Detection Management Group (CIDG) 7 personnel led by Insp. Ferdinand Mendoza.
Mendoza’s team also rescued 11 women in the process.
The law prohibits media from mentioning names of respondents and complainants or victims in human trafficking cases.
Most of the victims came from different provinces in Luzon and Mindanao.
The alleged recruiter and the 11 women were about to board a flight for Puerto Princesa, Palawan. (NAIA).
Belo thinking organic
CEBU CITY – With the growing awareness on the health benefits of organic products, Intelligent Skin Care Inc. (ISCI) of the Belo Medical Group is considering venturing on organically-developed products in the next few years.
