Culebra features sophisticated genuine snakeskin clutches in various colors and sizes

Culebra, named after the Spanish word for “snake,” is the brainchild of freelance fashion stylist, writer, personal shopper, and budding entrepreneur Anne Bella. After taking a short course at Slim’s on the Business of Fashion, this former fashion editor honed in on snakeskin clutches as her first venture. Shares Anne, “Snakeskin is a timeless trend, and the clutches can be heirloom pieces that last forever. It will always be in fashion—more so now because it's the year of the snake! It's a lucky charm.”

Launched just last November 2012, her first collection features beautiful, genuine handpainted snakeskin clutches with magnetic closures, sourced from abroad. “What makes them special is the workmanship that goes into it," says Anne. "Each bag is different, even if it's the same color, because of the skin. It's hand-dyed and carefully stitched, so the finish is very clean and streamlined. The suede inner lining differs per color of the bag, which adds a special touch. The sizes are also perfect for either cocktails or as an everyday work bag. The large ones can fit a lot of stuff, including an iPad.”

Culebra clutches come in various colors and three sizes: small (6 x 10 in, P4,500), medium (7 x 10 in, P6,500), and large (10 x 14 in, P8,500). Soon, Anne plans to introduce other items like sandals and accessories to the Culebra collection.
