ILOILO CITY, Iloilo — The municipal trial court has excluded 17 voters in the southern Iloilo town of Miag-ao. Iloilo 1st district board member Gerardo Flores said Miag-ao Municipal Trial Court Judge Francisco Guzman instructed the Miag-ao Election Registration Board to dismiss said voters after he filed a petition on the matter in February. “I got reliable information that a political group in Miag-ao recruited these flying voters who are from Villa district in Iloilo City and San Joaquin, Guimbal and Oton towns,” Flores said, even as he questioned the Commission on Election in Iloilo’s inclusion of these alleged flying voters in the voter’s list that was supposed to have already been screened by the poll body.
