Mobile service innovator Sun Cellular continues to add value to customer service after having launched its latest Android application called the Sun Tourist Assistance Portal or simply “Sun TAP” which aims to assist tourists and enhance travel experience in the Philippines.
“As we are in the exciting times of smartphone technology and great travel finds, we have worked on marrying these two potentials to create this dedicated app which banks both on the hosting functionality of smartphones, and on the numerous offerings of our country as a well-loved travel destination,” says Paolo Castaneda, Assistant-Vice President for Value-added Services of Sun Cellular.
Open to all users of Android smartphones, the Sun TAP app is a functional information portal which gives direct access to government offices, public service hotlines, as well as links to top commercial establishments, lifestyle services and travel deals.
“Initially designed to give a starter’s guide to inbound roamers and visiting foreigners, this app strives to capture all the essential links and contact information a traveller would need to make his stay in the Philippines hassle-free and worthwhile,” explains Castaneda. “Not to mention, Sun TAP also links them quickly to top emergency and embassy numbers, should they need help or travel guidance from official government agencies,” he added.
Android users may now download the Sun TAP app for free at the Android Playstore or via Google Play with the key support of Sun’s data services or through any active WiFi connection.
In a separate press statement, Sun Cellular’s Customer Service Operations Head Reuben Pangan said that the network’s continuous development of new mobile applications such as the Sun TAP has been in line with its efforts to modernize its service channels and overall customer care.
“We’re set to continue developing these apps even further to capture more features and maximize functionality for the users of today,” says Pangan. “We’re also looking forward to creating more relevant and interactive apps in the future,” he added.
