Comedy concert artists Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola return to the concert scene via “Jose And Wally Concert: A Party For Juan And All” at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on March 15.
Recall that the duo’s initial foray into the concert scene at the Big Dome scored a record-breaking attendance that merited recognition for them as Comedy Concert Artists from the management of the Araneta Coliseum on March 2, 2012.
Despite the precedent, Jose and Wally feel the heat of this new challenge before them.
“Hindi maiwasan na kabahan kami ni Wally. Siyempre nu’ng una, nandoon ‘yung curious ang manonood sa gagawin namin sa stage. Eh, never naman kaming naging conscious sa gagawin namin. Basta ibinigay lang namin ang kaalaman sa pagpapatawa. Sinusunod namin ang instructions sa amin.
“‘Yun nga lang, kumakawala kami kung minsan dahil ang comedy naman, mas natural, mas nakakatawa. Ngayon, naku po, taimtim kaming magdarasal upang tangkilikin muli ng tao ang aming palabas,” said Jose.
Wally added: “Todo rin ang pag-aaral namin ng mga bagong kanta at bagong patawa. Hindi puwede kasing umulit dahil alam naman nating maraming tao ang sumaksi sa aming concert. Siyempre, maraming sorpresa rin kaming inihahanda ni Jose upang maging times two o times three ang pagpapatawa namin sa mga tao.”
The line-up of guests at “Jose And Wally Concert: A Party For Juan And All” will be led by Vic Sotto, who did his own version of Adele’s “Someone Like You” during the first concert.
Also joining the show are Bamboo and Gary Valenciano, both of whom will figure in a production number with the comedians. Other big stars who will participate in the show are Ogie Alcasid, Jericho Rosales, Pokwang, and child sensation Ryzza Mae “Cha Cha” Dizon.
