QC fire destroys P750,000 in property
Around P750,000 worth of property was destroyed during a fire that hit a two-storey residential home in Quezon City, a fire official said Tuesday.
Supt. Jesus Fernanez, Quezon City Fire Marshall, said the fire started at 11:42 p.m. Sunday at the house of Trinidad Rabago, 62, of 29 Pat Senador St., San Francisco Del Monte (SFDM), Quezon City.
Fernandez said that based on their initial investigation, the fire started at the bedroom located at the second floor of the house.
He said the fire, which reached the third alarm, quickly spread causing considerable damage to the house.
Fernandez said fire fighters from the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) and fire volunteer brigades went to the area and managed to put out the fire at 12:20 a.m. Monday.
No one was hurt or killed in the incident.
Fernandez said the fire was caused by faulty electricity. (Francis T. Wakefield)
