Region III rules 2014 nat’l tech-voc skills contest
Manila, Philippines — Technical vocational (tech-voc) participants of Region III hit the 2014 Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC) like a storm surge as they collected 10 of 20 gold medals won on April 7 to 10.
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) conducted the PNSC simultaneously in three different venues — the National Capital Region (Pasig City), Region III (San Fernando City, Pampanga), and Region IV-A (Batangas City).
All of the 20 gold winners in their respective trade categories will represent the Philippines and showcase their skills in the 2014 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Skills Competition (ASC) to be held in October in Vietnam.
TESDA Secretary Joel J. Villanueva lauded the tech-voc graduates and trainees for their feats.
“Congratulations to the winners and make your country proud,” he said at the awarding rites on Friday.
