Singson offers P250,000 reward for baby’s killer
CAOAYAN, Ilocos Sur – Governor Ryan Singson on Thursday offered P250,000 reward to anyone who could give information leading to the arrest of the person who fired his gun during New year’s celebration killing a three-month old boy.
Aside from his personal help, Singson has offered the reward money to hasten the investigation into the brutal killing of the infant and give justice to the victim’s family.
“Nag offer agad tayo ng reward para madakip yong suspect na nagpaputok ng baril [We offered a reward to arrest the suspect],” Singson said in a phone interview.
Police director Sr. Supt. Jemar Modequillo disclosed that based on their findings, the trajectory of the bullet showed that the suspect came from the neighbors of the victim.
“Sinukat naming yong area at kitang-kita na malapit lang sa bahay ng biktima ang pinanggalingan ng bala; sana di nila kamag-anak [We measured the area and we saw that the bullet came from an area near the victim's house; Hopefully, the killer's not a family member],” said Modequillo in a telephone call to this correspondent.
