Stars join inauguration of Philippine Arena
Several celebrities were among those that witnessed the inauguration of Iglesia ni Cristo’s (INC) Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan on Monday, with an estimated 50,000 attendees joining the launch festivities of what had been billed as the “largest theater in the planet.”
Present at the event, based on their Instagram posts, were Gladys Reyes, Kristel Fulgar and model Regine Angeles.
Regine related how the inauguration coincided with INC’s centennial celebration.
“Happy 100 years to all my brothers and sisters in the faith,” Regine tweeted about the inauguration that kicked off the INC’s centennial celebration.
Gladys simply tweeted, “Proud INC! World class arena!”
Meanwhile, TV host-broadcaster Anthony Taberna, who covered the event for the morning program “Umagang Kay Ganda,” shared a more personal take on the celebration via Instagram: “Ibang klaseng magbirthday ang misis ko – BIGTIME! Kasabay ng makasaysayang pagbubukas ng #philippinearena ang 29th birthday ni mrs. @rosseltaberna.”
He continued, “…sa totoo lang, hindi si Rossel ang dapat magdiwang nang husto kungdi ako. Kung hindi ipinanganak ang magandang misis ko, hindi ako kailanman magiging kumpleto. Yoooown! Alabyu beb. Happy birthday.”
Apart from Reyes, Fulgar, Angeles and Taberna, other celebrity members of the religion are Kathryn Bernardo, Ariella Arida, Ejay Falcon, Yasmien Kurdi, Snooky Serna, Xyriel Manabat and Bugoy Drilon.
Political VIPs who graced the inauguration included President Benigno Aquino III and Vice President Jejomar Binay, among other government officials; as well as several foreign dignitaries.
