Surigao del Sur ready for CRAM 2014
The province of Surigao del Sur is now ready for the 17th Caraga Regional Athletic Meet (CRAM) which will be held at Tandag City GPM Sports Complex.
The partnership agreement between the provincial government and Department of Education (DepEd) is being strengthened as various committees continue meetings on daily updates.
Several committees have been created for the event, including the Host Executive composed of the provincial officials and local chief executives from the two cities and 17 municipalities, the Steering composed of DepEd officials, LGU officials, ex-officio members and members of the provincial school board and the Working Committee with 46 sub-committees.
At least 3,600 athletes and teachers/coaches from the provinces of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur and the cities of Butuan, Surigao, Bislig, Cabadbaran, Bayugan and Surigao del Sur will compete this year.
“We are ready to welcome all our best athletes, coaches and officials from all over Caraga region,” declared Surigao del Sur Gov. Johnny T. Pimentel on Thursday.
The provincial government of Surigao del Sur has allocated more than P6 million for the hosting of the 17th CRAM 2014. (Mike Crismundo)
