Taguig fire destroys P200,000 worth of property

A fire that hit a condominium building still under construction in Taguig City destroyed around P200,000 worth of property.

Fire Senior Inspector Severino Sevilla, chief of the Operations Section of the Taguig City Fire Station, said that the fire started at 5:46 p.m. at the 12th floor of Fort Victoria Condominium and Residences located along 5th Avenue corner 24th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City.

The said condominium building is just near the Pacific Plaza Towers Condominium Corporation.

Based on initial investigation, Sevilla said the fire originated at the garbage chute located at the 12th floor of the condominium building.

No one was hurt or killed in the blaze which reached the fourth alarm.

Sevilla said the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

Firefighters from the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) managed to put out the fire at 6:47 p.m. (Francis Wakefield)
