Security guard wanted for murder caught after 20 years

LAMUT, Ifugao – A security guard wanted for murder who hid for almost 20 years was arrested by the Ifugao Police Provincial Office in Barangay Poblacion West here on April 2.

Police said the suspect is a 41-year-old male from Barangay La Fortuna, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, and listed as a national most wanted person with a reward for his arrest.

The suspect was nabbed on a warrant issued by Judge Romeo Habbiling of the Lagawe, Ifugao, Regional Trial Court Branch 14 issued on August 14, 2013, for murder in 2005 or almost 20 years ago.

After documentation, the suspect was turned over by the police her to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology-Ifugao District Jail in Kiangan, Ifugao for proper disposition.
