9 policemen among 17 new COVID-19 cases in Cagayan

CAGAYAN – Nine policemen and a nurse were among the persons, who were reportedly this province’s new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), based on a report of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Monday.

The police officers, who were reported to have been infected with the coronavirus, came from Zone 4, San Roque Penablanca; Bayabat, Amulung; Linao Norte, Tuguegarao City; Purok 3, Mungo Tuao, Purok 1 Alabug, Tuao; and Maddrarulug Sur, Enrile.

The 28-year-old nurse, who was afflicted with the disease, was a resident of Centro 3 in Tuguegarao City.

Most of the police officers had their swab tests on October 15.

All of the policemen who tested positive were asymptomatic and have been placed in the quarantine facility of Police Regional Office 2 (PRO) 2.
